Preşedintele Klaus Iohannis a afirmat, luni, că ţara noastră sprijină un proces rapid de aderare a Suediei la NATO. Şeful statului a adăugat că Alianţa va fi mai puternică, după ce Suedia şi Finlanda vor deveni membre ale NATO, informează news.ro.

“România salută decizie Suediei de a solicita aderarea la NATO, anunţată astăzi de către premierul suedez Magdalena Andersson. România susţine un proces rapid de aderare al Suediei la NATO. Alianţa noastră va fi mai puternică ca niciodată, odată cu aderarea Suediei şi Finlandei la NATO”, a scris Klaus Iohannis, luni pe Twitter.

Premierul suedez Magdalena Andersson a anunţat, luni, că Suedia va solicita aderarea la NATO, schimbându-şi politica de neutralitate militară adoptată timp de decenii întregi, relatează BBC. Andersson a subliniat că pentru “siguranţa poporului suedez, cea mai bună cale de urmat este aderarea la NATO alături de Finlanda”, însă nu a oferit o dată exactă a depunerii cererii de aderare, afirmând că cel mai probabil va avea loc în cursul acestei săptămânii.
