Managerul Spitalului de Boli Infecţioase şi Pneumoftiziologie “Victor Babeş” din Timişoara, dr. Cristian Oancea, a declarat duminică, 29 august, că numărul ridicat al noilor infectaţi cu SARS-CoV-2 din ultima perioadă a determinat deja dublarea numărului de paturi dedicate lor pe secţia de Boli Infecţioase, dar nu doreşte ca din nou să fie relocate paturi pentru COVID şi de pe alte secţii, întrucât sunt foarte mulţi pacienţi cu alte patologii, în stare gravă, care au nevoie de spitalizare.
“La COVID am dublat deja numărul de paturi, pe secţia de Infecţioase, întrucât numărul pacienţilor era în creştere. În ATI, nu aveam niciun loc pe COVID, raportat la ziua de vineri. Nu mai schimbăm alte secţii, pentru a le reloca celor infectaţi cu SARS-CoV-2, deoarece avem foarte foarte mulţi pacienţi în stare gravă cu TBC şi neoplazii pulmonare, plus abcese. Noi mai preluăm şi pacienţi pulmonari din Arad pentru diagnosticare”, a afirmat Cristian Oancea.
În anul pandemic trecut, când spitalul deservea doar cazurile COVID, patologia tuberculoasă a fost trimisă la Jimbolia şi la sanatoriul de specialitate de la Brad, dar din luna mai, aceşti bolnavi au fost readuşi la “Victor Babeş”. În acea perioadă, au fost confirmate noi cazuri de TBC, chiar forme severe de boală, cu distrucţie pulmonară avansată, iar culturile, analizele genetice şi confirmările pentru TBC se fac doar la “Victor Babeş” Timişoara, unde există singurul laborator de referinţă pe întreaga euroregiune.
Pe de altă parte, Cristian Oancea a atras atenţia asupra acestui nou val de infectări cu SARS-CoV-2 încă de acum jumătate de an, pentru că, susţine el, este o evoluţie ciclică ce apare în epidemii sau pandemii şi cu cât virusul circulă într-o masă populaţională mai mare, cu atât noile tulpini vor fi mai rezistente şi mai agresive.
“Valul patru a început în urmă cu circa două săptămâni, suntem într-o pantă ascendentă şi ne aşteptăm să continue trendul, pentru că vine sezonul rece, oamenii revin din concedii şi vor începe şi răcelile. (…) Ne străduim să avem un echilibru pentru a deservi totuşi formele de SARS-CoV-2 cu tulpina Delta (cam 99% dintre pacienţii care vin acum cu SARS-CoV-2 au tulpina Delta, care este acum dominantă), dar să mergem şi pe patologia non-COVID, astfel încât nimeni să nu aibă de suferit”, a explicat dr. Oancea.
El a subliniat că în special persoanele nevaccinate se infectează şi dezvoltă forme severe cu tulpina Delta, cu vârste cuprinse între 20 şi 40 de ani, dar medicii se aşteaptă inclusiv la o confruntare cu fenomene COVID de patologie pediatrică.
Managerul Spitalului “Victor Babeş” din Timişoara mai spune că incidenţa infectărilor cu SARS-CoV-2 este în creştere şi se aşteaptă un vârf pe la jumătatea – sfârşitul lunii septembrie. “Este o tulpină periculoasă pentru cei nevaccinaţi. Cei vaccinaţi se pot infecta, dar fac o formă mai uşoară de boală sau moderată, nu ajung în ATI”, precizează Cristian Oancea.
